ancient one ulum




So, I went to the workout room for the first time today. Walked 5.5 minutes at 2.5 mph. Then went to the weights and did 10 of each set (well, of 3 of them... I dunno, the pecs? The one you put your arms up and push inwards on the padded things. Then the one thatapos;s like weights you pull down (IIRC), in front of you. Then the ones behind you. I dunno. Iapos;ll learn as I keep going) The pecs I did at 70 lbs, and the other two I did 90 lbs. I donapos;t know whatapos;s considered "good" or "bad" Iapos;m just doing whatapos;s moderately comfortable that still gives some resistance (I can feel my arms have a little strain, nothing major, so I didnapos;t overdo it))

I think Iapos;ll keep going back, now that Iapos;ve done it. I like having the treadmill, actually. When I walk, I feel I have to hurry it up, so I push myself faster than I think Iapos;m really ready for, and then I beat myself up and donapos;t continue. If I use the treadmill I have a set speed, and I can know how long Iapos;ve gone, etc... And then just build up as I go. Plus I can watch crappy TV (Daily Show was on tonight).

So yeah, hopefully this is a good start. Itapos;s nice to have real equipment available, too.
